Bujie de aprindere NGK IRIDIUM au un vârf din iridiu pe electrodul central și un electrod de masă din platină. Aceasta este cea mai avansată tehnologie, care se bazează pe rezistența la eroziune și la topire a iridiului. O bujie NGK Iridium durează, în medie, de două ori mai mult decât o bujie standard. A nu se confunda cu gamă NGK IX, care are doar electrodul central din platină.
