A dump valve or turbo valve reduces a turbo's reaction time and improves its reliability. The turbo compresses the air in the intake. When the throttle is released, the throttle valve closes and the compressed air can no longer flow into the intake, causing a significant increase in pressure in the air circuit.

This phenomenon slows down the turbo and, inevitably, lengthens its response time (which, in turn, increases wear prematurely).

The purpose of installing a dump valve is to quickly release this excess air pressure when the gas pedal is released. The air is evacuated by the dump valve either externally (hence the pschitt) or internally (back into the intake manifold).

This Forge dump valve controls turbo boosting via the discharge valve.

Vehicle compatibility: Hyundai Genesis Coupe / Sonata Turbo / Veloster Turbo / Honda Civic 1.5T (10th Gen) / Dodge Neon SRT-4

Type: Open circuit

Products intended for vehicle modification for competition purposes may render their use prohibited on public roads, insofar as they significantly alter the vehicle's characteristics as specified in the type-approval certificate issued by the relevant authorities (noise level, pollutant emissions, maximum speed, tire dimensions, etc.).

Installation très simple, il faut surtout connaître les bars de votre turbo afin d’y mettre le ressort adapté.
