Specific Sport Catalysts

Specific sport catalytic converters replace your car’s original catalyst with a higher-performance version. They improve gas flow by reducing backpressure while still keeping part of the emission control function. Made of high-quality stainless steel, they are available in several configurations with 100, 200 or 300 cpsi cells. The fewer the cells, the freer the flow and the sportier the sound, but with less filtering efficiency.
When the vehicle is equipped with a DPF, it is removed when fitting a sport cat. On turbocharged engines, the sport catalytic converter is usually integrated into the downpipe with sport cat. In this case, an ECU remap is mandatory to adapt engine management and avoid faults from the lambda sensors. Each sport cat also retains the location for lambda sensors and/or differential pressure sensors in order to match the original setup.
