For more safety, the newest norm, the FIA 8856-2000, imposes new constraints for the manufacture of the driver gloves : the hand must not be in direct contact with the leather anymore, only the leather inserts on the Nomex fabric are allowed. Careful ! A tear or a snag on one of your gloves during a special stage will cost you valuable time. A detailed verification of your material is vital before each race.
