Turbo / Dump Valve Forge Closed Circuit Citroën DS3 1.6

This closed circuit dump valve (silent operation) has been designed for Citroën DS3 1.6 turbo engines, which have electronic relief valves. It is recommended for all vehicles where the turbo pressure has been increased by reprogramming the ECU, as well as for vehicles that run in hot climates. It is a solution for many of the problems identified. The most common problem is that the ring that holds the diaphragm is made of a very thin plastic, and as the heat is cycled, it eventually fails. Unfortunately the malfunction does not always trigger the engine light to come on when the valve is held open by turbo pressure, so it is possible to be unaware that you are losing power because of this. This prevents the diaphragm from sealing. This particular problem can also cause the dump valve to dislocate when removed from the turbo, and in extreme cases, pieces of plastic in the turbo. The alternative offered by Forge significantly increases reliability.

Their dump valve works with an all-aluminium piston, replaces the standard component with a pressure/vacuum controlled piston and retains the control of the standard ECU on the dump valve. This dump valve has been tested on VAG vehicles for many years. The spring is interchangeable for different turbo pressure levels, and the solenoid connects directly with the included harness connector.
