OptiMate 7 Select Battery Charger for AGM, GEL, EFB, and 12V Lead-Acid Batteries

The OptiMate 7 Select 12V 10A battery charger for lead-acid batteries recovers, charges, tests, and maintains the charge of AGM, GEL, STD, EFB, and deep-cycle batteries ranging from 3 to 240 Ah. Its AmpMatic charging current of up to 10 A automatically adjusts to the size and condition of the battery.

The OptiMate 7 Select offers three operating modes. The 14.4 V mode is suitable for most lead-acid batteries, while the 14.7 V mode is designed for high-performance batteries requiring a higher charging voltage, including certain Odyssey and Optima batteries.

Its 9-step automatic program handles the entire cycle without supervision. It can detect and attempt to recover a deeply discharged battery starting at just 0.5 V, using a 2-step desulfation recovery program. Once charging is complete, it tests the battery’s condition and then automatically switches to long-term float charging.

The OptiMate 7 Select also features a 13.6 V power supply mode. This provides a stable power supply during vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting, or reprogramming, and can also help preserve stored settings when the battery is disconnected.

Automatic temperature compensation adjusts the charging voltage to ambient conditions. The OptiMate 7 Select can be used indoors or outdoors down to -40 °C and can remain connected to the battery to safely maintain its charge.

The charger features comprehensive electronic protection: overload and short-circuit protection, spark suppression, and protection for the vehicle’s electronics. It comes with a permanent battery cable and a set of pliers.
