The products in the Black Series line are made from polyurethane. This is a specialized plastic that has been around for about thirty years. Advances in technology have enabled this material to be endowed with unique properties. Suspension parts are among the most heavily used components in a car and are subjected to enormous stresses.

Originally, these parts are made from rubber containing substances that degrade over time. Eventually, the vehicle becomes increasingly unstable and offers less and less control over the suspension geometry.

This leads to accelerated tire wear, instability when braking, and poor handling.

The products in the Black Series line stand out because they use the Noir 95A material, which is Powerflex’s hardest material.

Powerflex therefore developed this material to overcome these issues. They have developed a polyurethane compound that allows them to manufacture parts that are 25 to 30% stiffer than older rubber products, while maintaining exactly the same noise-absorbing properties.
