The products in the Road Series range are made from polyurethane. This is a specialized plastic that has been around for about thirty years. Advances in technology have given this material unique properties. Suspension parts are among the most heavily used components in a car and are subjected to enormous stress.

Originally, these parts were made from rubber containing compounds that degrade over time. Eventually, the vehicle becomes increasingly unstable and offers less and less control over suspension geometry.

This leads to accelerated tire wear, instability during braking, and poor handling.

Powerflex has therefore developed a material to overcome these issues. They have designed a polyurethane compound that allows for the manufacture of parts 25 to 30% stiffer than older rubber products, while retaining exactly the same noise-absorbing properties.
