Black Series – for track use and motorsports

The products in the Black Series range are made from polyurethane. This is a specialized plastic that has been around for about thirty years. Advances in technology have enabled this material to be endowed with unique properties. Suspension parts are among the most heavily used components in a car and are subjected to enormous stress.

Originally, these parts are made from rubber containing compounds that degrade over time. Eventually, the vehicle becomes increasingly unstable and offers less and less control over the suspension geometry.

This leads to accelerated tire wear, instability during braking, and poor handling.

The products in the Black Series stand out because they use 95A Black material, which is Powerflex’s hardest material.

Powerflex therefore created this material to overcome these issues. They developed a polyurethane compound that allows for the production of parts 25 to 30% stiffer than older rubber products, while retaining exactly the same noise-absorbing properties.
