NGK Platinum spark plugs had a central electrode built in Platinum, even exist some with central and ground electrode in Platinum. The use of Platinum allows to rise the lifetime and to have a linear performance decrease curve, even in intense use. The tight shape of the central electrode allows to reduce the voltage needed and optimize the combustion.
