Description

The Ferodo DS1.11 is a brake pads range designed for long endurance races. Contrary to its competitors who use ceramic materials, Ferodo choose the Siloxanes. Contrary to carbon-based compounds, the Siloxanes doesn't decompose under high temperatures, that allow DS1.11 to work under very high temperatures that brake pads never reach. DS1.11 brakes pads have a constant friction factor of 0.46 all along the temperature range from 200° to 700°C. The disk wearing is very good while the braking performance are very impressive, that's why the DS1.11 are the perfect brake pads for endurance races. No suitable for road car use.

Products designed to adapt vehicles for competition use may prohibit them from being driven on roads open to public traffic, insofar as they significantly modify the characteristics of the vehicles as described in the type-approval report issued by the mines department: noise, pollution, maximum speed, tire size, etc.
