This intake kit has been developed for the Mini Gen 3 with Bosch intake sensor (component number: 0 281 006 597). Before purchasing this product refer to the photo on this page to determine what type of intake sensor you have. Forge Motorsport has been spearheading Mini preparation since 2006, and sponsor of the Mini Challenge in the UK, where the R56 and F56 are fitted with Forge components. The intake itself features a bespoke heat shield, which directs air from the fresh air intake onto the engine mount, and mounts onto the original fasteners, with rubber washers to reduce noise and vibration. Have a look at the Forge video on dyno testing: they measured +10 hp. The duct to the filter is hand-built and features an air flow meter outlet, so that the standard one can be screwed onto the new intake. The filter is made by Pipercross to Forge specifications.
