Cat Cams 275° camshaft for BMW M50 2.0 6-cylinder.

The camshaft is a key component of your engine that will allow you to significantly inc rease the performance of your competition vehicle.

During preparation, two characteristics of the camshaft shape can be modified: the valve lift and the valve opening angle (length of time).

The more the valve lift is increased, the more air-fuel mixture is admitted into the cylinders, and therefore the more power is obtained at high revs.

The more the valve opening angle is increased, the more a kind of “air current” is created, which promotes the entry of the air-fuel mixture into the cylinder: this helps to bring more air-fuel mixture into the cylinders and therefore to obtain more power.
