The Alcon 4-piston front left brake caliper is fitted to the Renault Clio 16S and Williams models equipped with the Alcon Group A braking system. This version is mounted on the left side of the front axle and features a radial mounting, with pistons measuring 41.3 and 44.5 mm in diameter.
Connection to the brake system is via a 3/8-24 UNF (-3) female hydraulic port. The mounting uses Ferodo FRP1077 brake pads, available in DS2500 and DS3000 compounds, or CL Brakes Carbone Lorraine 5005W50T16 RC6 pads.
The rotors for this application are available in 315 × 28 mm and 325 × 28 mm sizes. The selection must match the caliper brackets and the configuration of the braking system installed on the vehicle.
Before installation, check the mounting hardware, the alignment of the caliper with the rotor, the hydraulic coupling, and the clearance within the wheel rim. Also verify the shape and pad thickness.
Compatibility applies to the corresponding Alcon Group A braking system. This caliper should not be considered a direct replacement for the original caliper on a stock Clio 16S or Williams.
