The V2 OBP oil catch tank offers a practical and versatile solution for managing oil in your vehicle.

The CNC-machined component has been anodized in black and includes a removable internal stainless steel baffle plate with 3 mm holes to facilitate oil cooling. On top, it is equipped with an adjustable stainless steel mounting bracket for easy installation.

It also includes an ELESA oil level gauge as standard.

What is an oil catch tank?

An oil catch tank is a small, simple canister that is installed on the vehicle's crankcase ventilation system. The purpose of the recovery tank is to trap oil vapors and other contaminants before they return to the engine. These vapors, which are produced during combustion, are usually redirected to the intake system before being captured, ensuring that clean air enters the engine and preventing oil from spilling onto the race track!

The tank acts as a filter between the crankcase and the intake manifold and is an important part of the vehicle as it helps prevent engine damage.

The recovery tank is connected to the vehicle's PCV system to capture excess crankcase vapors and mist residues before they return to the intake system.

The oil recovery tank allows your engine to run more efficiently by separating oil from the intake system.

The presence of oil in the system leads to a reduction in fuel octane rating, a high risk of engine knocking, increased emissions, and high oil consumption.
