Description

This dump valve was designed for BMW N20 2.0 Turbo engines equipped with a solenoid valve. This engine can be fitted to the F10, F20 and F30 chassis called 125i, 225i, 228i, 320i, 328i, 520i and 528i. It is recommended for all vehicles whose turbo pressure has been increased by ECU reprogramming, as well as for vehicles that operate in hot climates. This is a solution for many of the problems identified, where the standard rubber diaphragm cracks, causing a loss of turbo pressure. Unfortunately the malfunction does not trigger the engine light to come on all the time when the valve is held open by the turbo pressure, so it is possible not to know that you are losing power because of this. The alternative offered by Forge offers greatly increased reliability. This Forge dump valve works with a solid piston, made entirely of aluminum. it replaces the stock component with a pressure/vacuum-controlled piston and retains control of the stock ECU on the dump valve.
