Description

Designed specifically for Peugeot / Mini N18 engines, (Cooper S from 2011, JCW Cooper S from 2013, R58 Coupe from 2012, Peugeot 208 GTi from 2012 including the Sport model, RCZ THP 156 & 200 from 2011).
This product is recommended when the turbo pressure has been increased by reprogramming or simply as a remedy for the fragility of the original component.
The main known problem on the stock valve is a tear on the diaphragm that prevents the valve from opening fully. This does not always trigger the engine light to come on because the valve can be opened by turbo pressure. This is a very common problem.
The other common problem is that the spring cover is made of very thin plastic which becomes brittle over time, and eventually fails. This prevents the diaphragm from sealing and also causes the problems described above. This failure can also cause the dump valve to break when the turbo is removed, and in rarer cases plastic components enter the turbo and destroy it.
Forge's alternative offers a significant increase in reliability. Their dump valve works with an all-aluminum piston, replaces the stock pressure/vacuum operated piston component and retains the stock ECU control over the dump valve.

This recirculation valve has been tested on VAG vehicles for many years.
The spring is interchangeable for different turbo pressure levels, and the solenoid plugs in directly with the included harness connector.
