Universal carbon air box for engines up to 1.6L

The BMC CDA filtration system consists of a cylindrical carbon fibre air box with a washable filter element. The carbon protects the hot air drawn into the engine thanks to its low thermal conductivity.

By replacing the original air box with the CDA, fresh air is directed straight to the thermally insulated filter and then fed to the engine through an internal flow deflector, with reduced pressure drop.

Connected to a front air box via an aluminium hose, the system generates genuine supercharging: the air enters with greater speed and volume than a traditional system.

The internal deflector accelerates the air flow, improving engine performance by providing cooler, denser air, resulting in increased power and torque.
