Description

This Powersprint ferritic chromium stainless steel exhaust insulating wool for SSAM-HT mufflers is heat-resistant up to approx. 1200°C for use as absorption tube liners and muffler fillers.

Stainless steel wool in roll form.
Material width: approx. 100mm.
SSAM-HT (90-120μ)

Total length varies according to winding and material. For example, a 5kg roll of ferritic stainless steel wool can have a material length of between 90 and 100 meters.

In muffler construction, stainless steel wool is mainly used as a sheath for absorption tubes. This is to prevent the blowing out of insulation materials such as E-glass or basalt wool. However, it is also increasingly used to fill the absorption chambers of high-performance silencers.

Powersprint offers exclusively non-magnetic stainless steel wool with temperature classification up to 1200°C for type SSAM -HT (AISI 314).

Products designed to adapt vehicles for competition use may prohibit them from being driven on roads open to public traffic, insofar as they significantly modify the characteristics of the vehicles as described in the type-approval report issued by the mines department: noise, pollution, maximum speed, tire size, etc.
