## Description

The Forge Motorsport carbon fiber intake kit was developed for the Mini Cooper S and John Cooper Works (JCW) F66 (2024+) models equipped with the B46 engine. Designed to improve airflow while reducing intake air temperature, it delivers a more responsive engine, faster turbocharger spool-up, and more linear acceleration across the entire revolutions range.
Drawing on its experience as an official supplier to the MINI Challenge, Forge Motorsport designed this system around the lower section of the stock air box and its cold-air intake. This solution maintains a constant supply of fresh air while significantly increasing the available air volume thanks to a new carbon-fiber upper section and a larger-diameter intake hose.
The air box is made of 2x2 twill prepreg carbon fiber, autoclave-molded and then protected by a glossy UV-resistant varnish to prevent yellowing. The diameter of the intake duct increases from 88 mm to 100 mm, representing a volume increase of approximately 46.7% between the turbo inlet and the air box. The Forge conical filter uses a hi-flow synthetic nanofiber filter media, designed to maximize airflow to the turbocharger.
Tests conducted on an independent dynamometer show a maximum gain of 11 ch and 17 Nm of torque. The gains are noticeable starting at 3,000 rpm and continue up to maximum rpm. The kit also enhances the intake sound with a more pronounced turbo noise and a more audible exhaust note under load. Forge recommends pairing this kit with the FMINLH27 hi-flow intake hose to fully realize its potential.
